The Nereus Scientific Advisory Board

Tasks of the Scientific Advisory Board

The key goal of the SAB is to advise the Nereus Steering Committee on the information needs of the economics researchers and students; particularly focussing on services surrounding Economists Online: the new search service and showcase of leading economists and their work (http://www.nereus4economics.info/econline.html).
In addition, a cornerstone for the future will be data archiving, access and dissemination, i.e. improving access to more international raw data as well as enhancing access for others to our own research data. We will ask you to evaluate progress made with the Nereus programme, and suggest further functionalities of importance to the researcher for services in development. We must keep adding valuable content to the service, and we will invite you to help us to select new information.

Who is on the Scientific Advisory Board?

Nereus partner institutions are nominating researchers for the SAB. They have been selected for their high research standing and for their potential interest in helping to build a unique international information service centred on the needs of the economics research community which the likes of Google and publishers cannot achieve. A list of the names of present SAB members is below.
